I am an EPSRC Early Career Fellow (2016-2021) in Centre for Medical Image Computing (CMIC), part of the Microstructure Imaging Group, and the UCL Department of Computer Science . I am working in computational modelling of quantitative MRI to establish new non-invasive tumour biomarkers for cancer.
I studied mathematics at the University of Crete (2000-2005), followed by an MSc in Vision, Imaging and Virtual Environments at UCL (2006-2007). Afterwards, I pursued a PhD in medical imaging at UCL, developing brain models of diffusion MRI (Nov 2007- Jan 2011). Near the end of my PhD project I wrote a successful proposal to EPSRC’s Doctoral Prize scheme to extend my work to cancer pathology (2011-2012).
